Description Job Summary The CAD Programmer converts customer generated geometry or drawings into the files required to produce parts. Utilizes advanced software applications to generate programs and work instructions for Robotics, Material Handling Systems, CNC Turrets, Lasers, and Press Brakes. Troubleshoots these processes as needed. Job Responsibilities Use industry standard CAD software and equipment manufacturer’s programming software to create programs and work instructions. Interpret third and first angle orthographic projection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and customer drawings and specifications, using CAD software to create programs and work instructions Support Sales and Estimating groups with technical details and process capabilities Support Production with the design of tooling, fixtures, and alternate production methods when needed Provide input on efficiency improvements and cost versus benefit analysis of new tooling/ applications considerations Maintain a thorough understanding of the equipment used for processing Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications 2+ years practical CAD programming experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred SolidWorks experience is preferred Previous experience with automation equipment is preferred Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Must be self-motivated and have strong attention to detail Strong problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing environment The ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility

Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
