Job Description
Technical Support staff are often responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: Responding to customer inquiries and complaints about technical issues Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues Tracking system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits Talking customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues Providing prompt and accurate feedback to customers Maintaining a record of customer’s issues as well as the solution strategy for future reference Supporting the roll-out of new applications, including training users Testing and evaluating new technology for better system performance Documenting technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals Proven work experience as a Technical Support Specialist or similar role Hands-on experience with various operating systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues Excellent problem-solving and communication skills BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field preferred but not required Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
