The Systems Support Specialist will be a part of the WCH’s property IT Operations systems. The role of the Systems Support Specialist is to install, configure and maintain IT systems. The Systems Support Specialist will test and evaluate the IT systems to eliminate problems and recommend upgrades/changes and assess the current and future IT needs of WCH property IT Operations. The Systems Support Specialist will be familiar with standard IT concepts, practices and procedures within the scope of this job is expected. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs, configures and maintains property IT applications (including all software and network components, whether physical, virtual, logical or cloud-based) Works as liaison to effectively communicate and resolve end user application issues between WCH IT staff Troubleshoots, resolves and documents IT problems as reported by users, detected by monitoring, or assigned by management, in a professional and courteous manner Establishes and administers physical, network, domain and application security in accordance with departmental policy and directives Possesses and applies a thorough working knowledge of multiple operating systems, IT systems architecture, client/server technology, virtual environments, common personal computer application software, and various PC peripherals Maintains an awareness of current industry developments in technologies applicable to WCH’s IT infrastructure Reviews system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested functionality is possible within the existing application Confers with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data output, how data is to be summarized and formats for reporting Effectively communicates with staff at all levels, verbally and in writing, producing high-quality and well-crafted technical documentation, contributes in meetings and offers IT policy and procedure improvements, as well as business process improvement suggestions Works with minimal supervision, bringing projects and tasks to completion with a high degree of quality and attention to detail, and research problems effectively using all available resources Ensures that the physical condition of the premises is maintained in a safe and healthy manner and that all IT equipment and systems are managed, installed and maintained to the high standards of the IT Department Maintains the utmost confidentiality and integrity of users’ information and data and systems Efficiently works with 3rd party vendors and external groups for project, support and troubleshooting purposes, properly documenting work, time and communications Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

(please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying ) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • required OR Three (3) years related field and/or equivalent combination of education and verifiable related employment experience
  • required Three (3) years of experience in advanced computer technology support with one (1) of the three (3) years in the field of Server Based Gaming. Equivalent technical training, professional certification and experience will be considered. Network + Certification or equivalent
  • required Demonstrated advanced level technical skills in all platforms

MCITP/MCSA

Enterprise Administrator; A+ Certification; VOIP Experience; VMware Experience

  • preferred Experience with casino applications, i.e. Scientific Games SDS, Micros, Opera, and CMP
  • preferred Excellent technical communication skills and proven expertise in dealing with user problems and vendor relationships Extremely knowledgeable of the Minimum Internal Control Standards and Fiscal Policies and Procedures Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position Must possess a high level of maturity with leadership qualities Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
