Position Summary As an IT Support Technician based in Birmingham, you’ll be the front‑line resource for our staff’s technology needs—troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining Windows workstations, and ensuring seamless connectivity. You’ll also assist with network administration, equipment installations, and occasional project work. This role requires a proactive problem‑solver who’s comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team. Because we support multiple facilities, you should be willing to travel (~25-30% of work time) across Alabama, Tennessee, and Virginia. Key Responsibilities End‑
User Support:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows desktops and laptops, iPhones, iPads, printers, and VoIP phones
Onsite Visits:
Travel to branch locations in AL, TN, and VA to install, configure, and troubleshoot equipment and network connectivity
System Maintenance:
Perform routine system health checks, software updates, and patch management
Account Administration:
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Mobile Device Management:
Enroll, configure, and support corporate iPhones and iPads via Apple MDM (e.g., Jamf Pro)
Documentation:
Create and maintain clear IT procedures, knowledge‑base articles, and support tickets
Project Support:
Assist with rollouts of new systems, migrations (e.g., AD to Azure AD), and small‑scale infrastructure upgrades
Security & Compliance:
Enforce company IT policies, assist with endpoint security (antivirus, encryption), and support HIPAA‑compliance initiatives
Required Qualifications Education:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Experience:
2+ years of hands‑on IT support in a Windows‑only environment
Technical Skills:
