COMPUTER TECHNICIAN/MANAGER

TECHNICIAN/MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
Must comply with all employment criteria legally established by the Lee County Board. A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) and one of the following: Completion of 48 semester hours, at an accredited college or university; An associate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with at least 64 semester hours of study or two years of coursework; Receipt of a passing scores on the ACT Workkeys Assessment Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Server including group policy and file security configurations. Knowledge of Windows registry details. Knowledge of general Switch/Router/Firewall/WAP networking communications Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the assigned task. Experience in troubleshooting computers and installing hardware and software is required. Ability to install and terminate CAT5e cabling and have basic networking knowledge is required. Possess the ability to use effective interpersonal communication techniques, including proficient oral and written communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple ongoing projects and delegate responsibilities to supporting staff members. Must possess good leadership skills. Valid Alabama driver license, reliable transportation, and evidence of insurance. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL
To provide the services and manage departmental requirements of all technical and instructional technology support needs of Lee County Schools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Applicable to
All Employees:
Attend on a regular and predictable basis. Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness. Uphold Board policies, including the anti-harassment program. Work in a cooperative manner with students, teachers, staff, supervisors, and the public. Work effectively and efficiently under time and productivity standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUCNTIONS
Computer technician duties to include but not limited to the following: Configure and set up computers ordered by the schools and other support facilities. Upgrade and repair computers returned from the schools. Review Work Orders from the ticketing system and provide remote and/or live support when appropriate. Assist in delivering equipment to schools. Support and troubleshoot all faculty and staff technology requests when needed. Support school and server software applications to include but not limited to Accelerated Reader, Compass Learning, Baseline Edge, Follett Library software, and STI. Prioritize and coordinate all technical support and projects in the technology department. Ensure technology department technical staff members meet the needs of the schools. Office duties to include but not limited to the following: Assist with the phone duties, messages, and answering as needed Assist with the janitorial duties as needed Help organize and maintain upkeep and storage structure of warehouse Assist with the shipping and receiving of parts Assist with the filing and maintaining of computer records and warranties

EMPLOYMENT
This is a 12-month position (242 days), 7.5 hours per day. Board approved salary schedule.
