Job Overview:

We are seeking a Computer/IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. We are looking for independent problem solvers, with an aptitude for technology and a passion for helping people get the most out of technology. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for helping others optimize their technology. This role plays a key part in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of IT-related issues. As a member of our service desk team, you’ll support thousands of devices including computers, switches, routers, VoIP systems, and various other IT equipment to help keep our clients’ operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

The duties of the Computer Technician position include, but are not limited to the following: Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and networking issues efficiently. Provide remote technical support to clients across various industries. Identify recurring technical problems and recommend long-term solutions to enhance system performance. Assist with the deployment of computers, peripherals, and software applications. Manage and maintain IT asset inventory and related documentation. Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism, patience, and technical knowledge. Create and update technical documentation, including internal guides and client-facing FAQs/Knowledge Base articles. Ensure systems remain up to date with the latest software updates, security patches, and configurations. Configure and support VoIP phone systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and integration with network infrastructure. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of firewalls and related security settings. Support server environments, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows Server systems. Work within Microsoft environments including Office 365. Utilize IT ticketing systems to accurately document, prioritize, and resolve service requests in a timely manner.

Desired Skills:

1-3 years of experience in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting PC and laptop hardware, along with hands-on experience using Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ManageEngine, ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration. Knowledge of SonicWall firewalls and VPN tunnel configuration is a plus. Knowledge of VLANs including configuration is a plus. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Sites and Services within a Windows Server environment is a plus. Knowledge of routing and routing protocols (e.g., static routes, RIP, OSPF) to support efficient network communication is a plus. Knowledge of Ubiquiti products is a plus. Knowledge of 3CX VoIP phone systems is a plus. Knowledge of N-able is a plus. Knowledge of Intermedia is a plus. Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.
