Job Description

Overview Supports the operational use of assigned software applications through delivery of solutions to meet customer requests. Customer service oriented and must promote a professional relationship with both customers and vendors. Coordinates issue escalation with vendor support. Responsible for coordinating updates, patches, maintenance, and backup routines with vendor, customer and internal IT team effectively. Responsible for delivering timely knowledge and service assistance on assigned applications. Responsibilities Implements appropriate assigned application solutions to meet customer needs. Assists in the implementation of projects and serves as a project resource Serves as a resource between customer departments and Information Technology staff for major and minor applications projects. Develops and implements IT applications consistent with customer requirements and industry standards Administers security per IT procedures Serves as a limited training resource and mentors new employees. Develops and implements cost savings and performance improvement processes.

Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet. Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree and 3 years of hands of healthcare, business or IT experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience or certifications may substitute for education requirement. Exhibits interpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively with all levels of personnel Possesses personal computer skills with experience in hospital or clinic applications Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English Demonstrates basic skills in the following: Skill in financial applications, and/or clinical applications

WORKING CONDITIONS WORK CONTEXT

Frequent face to face or telephone contact with others Must work well within group setting or on a team Frequent daily use of electronic email Occasional meeting organizer and facilitator Ability to travel to all Health System facilities Physical presence onsite is essential Must have good manual dexterity for data entry and adjustment of paper and forms in printers
