We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive infrastructure, network, and desktop support, as well as assist with troubleshooting and resolving critical issues related to ABS computer systems, ERP administration, inventory management, and production software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, system maintenance, and a focus on minimizing downtime to ensure continuous production. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Under broad supervision, coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls. Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Provides timely resolution of moderately complex problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Supports and maintains effective relationships with users. May develop or document standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Support:

Provide technical support for the company’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure the network operates efficiently and securely.
Assist in the replacement and configuration of network switches as necessary.

Network Support:

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with network connectivity and performance.
Ensure network security and compliance with internal and industry standards.

Patch Management:

Ensure timely and effective patching of software and hardware systems to maintain security and stability across all platforms.

Desktop Support:

Provide support for end-user desktops, laptops, and other devices, ensuring that they are functioning properly.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, hardware, and peripheral devices.
Set up and configure new desktop and laptop systems for employees, ensuring that all necessary software and security protocols are in place.

ABS Computer Systems Support:

Manage and maintain the ABS computer systems used for testing anti-lock brake systems at the end of each production line.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with ABS system software and control valves to prevent downtime.
Quickly address system crashes, delinquent updates, and other software issues to minimize production delays and prevent trailer red-tagging.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to trailer testing and movement.

Inventory Management:

Assist with the annual inventory process, ensuring smooth data uploads and accurate inventory counts.
Address issues that may arise during inventory counts to prevent production shutdowns and revenue loss.

ERP Administration:

Manage user security and permissions in the ERP system (X3), including new user setup and troubleshooting.
Resolve system lockout issues, particularly for sales orders, purchase orders, and other critical ERP functions.
JobRouter (Paperless Production Software)

Support:

Act as the primary point of contact for any issues related to JobRouter software on the production floor.
Support the iPads used for JobRouter, ensuring that software, work instructions, and drawings are always up to date.
Coordinate with external support resources (e.g., Jacob from Fontaine IT) as needed to resolve complex issues.

CAD & FEA
Licensing Support:

Manage CAD and FEA software licensing for the Engineering department, ensuring that licenses are up to date and accessible.

Backup and Data Recovery:

Assist with data recovery in the event of accidental data deletion, ensuring backup systems are functioning properly.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, to address IT-related issues and support the overall production process.
Prioritize critical IT issues to minimize delays and ensure business continuity.
Provide support for other IT-related issues as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in IT support, network administration, desktop support, and infrastructure management.
Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in network, desktop, and system hardware.
Experience with patch management, network switches, and system maintenance.
Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly X3, and user administration.
Experience with ABS computer systems and software for trailer testing is a plus.
Proficiency with JobRouter or similar paperless production systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of backup and data recovery processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
