Redstone is a Central Arkansas based Civil and Highway contractor working throughout Central Arkansas. The IT Support Specialist position requires strong customer service and technical skills. This position would be responsible for providing first level support to Redstone employees both in person and remotely. The candidate should be detail oriented and able to work with diverse personalities in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will also have a positive, can do attitude and exhibit a high level of teamwork. This position requires at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. You must have a working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, iOS and Android mobile technology, various hardware platforms and networking. Knowledge of land mobile radios, camera systems and printers would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for a variety of issues using Help Desk software and remote management tools Set up desktop environments for new users, migrate to new environments for existing users Aid and advise users in the effective use of applications and information technology. Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations manuals, user guides, etc. Installation, repair, and troubleshooting of hardware such as laptops and desktops. Troubleshooting and support of smart devices such as Android, iPhones, and other cellular type devices
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent; CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ certification or other related IT professional certification Candidate must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug screening Should have a minimum of 1 year of technology experience Ability to troubleshoot and resolve multiple issues in person and remotely Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, and upgrades Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities Willingness to work outside of normal business hours Excellent English oral and written communication skills Be able to get under a desk, lift 30 pounds or climb a standard 6-foot ladder as needed A results-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
