Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary IT Help Desk Support professional to join our in-house IT team. This on-site role in Bethel, CT provides a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced tech support environment. While this is a temporary position , there is potential for permanent placement based on organizational needs and performance.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality customer service as the first point of contact for IT support issues Manage and respond to incoming requests via our ticketing system (Salesforce), walk-ups, phone, and email Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 technical issues including but not limited to: WiFi connections, password resets, printer support, folder/system access, and basic hardware/software support Track, prioritize, and document all support interactions and resolutions Set up equipment for new employees and support internal upgrades Collaborate with internal IT staff and external vendors as needed Work both independently and within a team setting to resolve user issues efficiently Maintain professionalism under pressure, multitasking between various support channels and priorities
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; pursuing or holding a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred Strong interest in technology and customer service Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems preferred Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests under time constraints Punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic about learning Why Ability Beyond?
