Added – April-15-2025 Contract/Temp Our client, a global manufacturing company, seeks an Information Technology Desktop Support Specialist to provide on-site support for applications, systems, and infrastructure. As the sole IT person onsite, this role will involve collaborating with a global IT team to provide support. Some of the duties will require moderate walking and working outdoors. This is a full-time, indefinite contract position. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is technically curious, resourceful, and a problem solver who demonstrates high attention to detail and can manage multiple projects and day-to-day tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support of Windows PCs in the office and production environment
With the support of a global IT team, assist with troubleshooting network switches, Wi-Fi access points, printers, copiers, and PCs.
Install and support local applications.
Utilize the ServiceNow ticket system to track and manage support cases.
Assist with the deployment of network hardware.
Participate in Global IT projects (e.g., server system refreshes)
Interact with 3rd party vendors.
Interact with plant managers, production engineers, and process owners.
Act as a local point of contact for on-site IT questions
Maintain and troubleshoot A/V meeting and conferencing equipment.
Develop and maintain documentation on instructions, processes, and asset lists.
Requirements:
3-5 years of hands-on IT support experience
A bachelor/associate degree with relevant technical experience will be considered. A+ Certification or equivalent training
Knowledge of Microsoft 365
Knowledge of Network fundamentals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong client relationship management
Ability to set priorities for projects and daily support activities.
Experience working in a large corporate environment.
Experience supporting a production/distribution environment.
Occasionally work weekends or after business hours.
Occasionally travel domestically.
