Structural/Support Engineer
Merritt Island, FL
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Structural/Support Engineer opportunity at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL.
Work Location:
On site is highly preferred but will consider remote work
Per Diem is available for those who qualify
United States Citizenship is required
Job Description:
Essential duties include locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as
AISC & ASME B31.3.
Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Proficient knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Prior experience using structural analysis programs
- Prior experience working in a 3D model environment.
Preferred Qualifications - PE Registration
- Experience using pipe support analysis programs GTStrudel
- Experience using Pipe SupportModeler software
- Previous Bechtel project experience
- Previous DOD/DOE project experience
