This individual will provide first and second line support for Information Systems issues and will ensure the proper flow of technical issues as they arise within the IS Department. The successful candidate will utilize their strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills to assist our users in troubleshooting and resolving issues. This position requires an individual who is committed to working through complex problems with a high level of accuracy and with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This position requires rotating on-call work to provide afterhours and weekend support or on an as needed basis. In addition to the standard suite of business applications being supported such as Microsoft Office, Medical Data Systems develops its own software for internal use. The successful candidate is expected to become familiar with this software and be able to provide support to our users.
Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a helpdesk/computer support role. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other software programs. Knowledge and proficiency of Windows Operating Systems including Windows 10, server 2012, 2016, and 2019. Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a Windows workstation / server environment. Knowledge and proficiency in system administration and system security. Knowledge of the intricacies of computer hardware and software. Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to computer hardware and software. Ability to consistently demonstrate courtesy and tact while carrying out assigned duties. Ability to provide outstanding customer service to all who seek his/her assistance. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to handle multiple projects and requests for assistance in an organized manner with limited supervision. Ability to physically perform essential job functions. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information. Research and analyze issues and procedures. Prepare well-reasoned recommendations for supervisor review. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to pass a background check.
