Purpose Statement:
The Systems Manager plays a vital role in furthering the mission of Calvary Christian Academy. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the institution’s information technology (IT) software solutions and ensuring that all systems run efficiently to support the school’s educational mission. In this role, your passion and efforts to foster Christian spiritual growth in the students and staff will directly impact Calvary Christian Academy in achieving its religious mission to “make disciples “for Christ.
Scope:
The Systems Manager role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage hardware, software, security protocols, and provide tech support to staff and students. The Systems Manager will also collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to implement innovative solutions to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
Systems Management Manage the daily operation of the school’s various software systems, including educational technology solutions, student access control systems, campus security systems, the automated attendance solution, and the like. Ensure systems are running optimally and any relevant update/hot fixes have been applied Monitor educational device use and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues Technical Support Support the use of technology for all CCA departments and allocates available resources to align with priorities that further the mission of Calvary Christian Academy. Quickly resolve issues with computers, printers, smartboards, and other school technology. Manage device inventory and oversee the repair or replacement of malfunctioning equipment. System Security and Data Management Implement and promote cybersecurity awareness to protect sensitive student and staff data. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across all school systems. Charged with overseeing compliance of data privacy regulations such as FERPA and COPPA. Manage and secure the storage of student data within student information systems (SIS) and learning management systems (LMS) Technology Integration and Improvement Stay current on new technologies. Implement tools that enhance classroom learning and administrative efficiency by collaborating with teachers and administrative staff to identify technology needs. Manage the rollout of new technology initiatives, software applications, and system upgrades. Proactively research and recommend emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and instructional support. Partner with the planning, implementation, and support of all current CCA campuses and potential future campuses. Training and Professional Development Conduct regular technology training and in-service sessions for staff. Develop and implement guides for troubleshooting common issues and improving technology utilization in classrooms.

TIA, CCNA, ITIL
) preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems management, IT support, or network administration, ideally within an educational setting. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), and software applications used in K-12 education (e.g., Google Workspace, SIS, LMS). Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and data privacy laws relevant to educational institutions (e.g., FERPA, COPPA). Experience with device management (e.g., Chromebooks, iPads) and educational technology integration. Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users. Experience leading large software implementation projects. You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 45 lbs.
Work Schedule:
Full time (40 hours/week); however, incumbent may be required to work an evening or weekend day to help with a special event or project or in an emergency situation affecting school operations.
