Desktop Support Specialist Sira Consulting Inc Fort Lauderdale, FL Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and troubleshooting services to our users, ensuring that all desktop systems operate efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, customer service, and technical support principles. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware and software issues. Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, including operating systems and applications. Assist users with VPN connectivity and remote access issues. Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory. Maintain accurate records of support requests in ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance system performance and user experience. Conduct regular maintenance checks on desktop systems to ensure optimal functionality. Document common issues and solutions to improve the knowledge base for future reference. Skills Proficient in desktop support and IT support practices. Strong understanding of computer networking principles. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users. Experience with software troubleshooting across various platforms. Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus. Knowledge of VPN configurations and troubleshooting methods. Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.
