IT Support Specialist Qualifications:
  • Experience with supporting Windows OS and Microsoft Office365 administration (1 year).
  • Experience with iOS (1 year).
  • Some knowledge of network administration, server management and cloud technologies a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills are very important.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Must be able to work a support ticket to completion or escalate to next level support.
  • You will be required to learn some industry specific applications in order to support a corporate user base.
  • Must be team oriented.
Job Description:

The IT Help Desk Technician takes and responds to calls and emails from our ticketing system and supports/maintains most technology in the office. This includes desktop and laptop PCs, iPads, printers, servers, company cell phones, and other miscellaneous equipment, in addition to managing the inventory for these devices. Initial User Support:

Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, chat, or in-person. Reading and responding to requests that come through our ticketing system Document user requests, incidents and solutions to tickets clearly and accurately. 2.

Troubleshooting Basic Technical Issues:

Resolve common issues such as password resets, authenticator issues, account unlocks, software installation, printer issues, and basic connectivity problems. Troubleshoot issues with network connectivity Maintain accurate records in the asset management system, the mobile device management (MDM) system and others. 3.

Incident Management:

Track and prioritize incidents in a ticketing system. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier Two support or relevant IT groups, clearly documenting steps already taken. Use and contribute to knowledge base resources to streamline future issue resolution. 4.

Communication and Customer Service:

Maintain professional and courteous interactions with vendors and users. Keep users informed of progress, resolutions, or delays related to their open ticket requests or issues. 5.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor system alerts and notify appropriate teams about critical issues. Prepare basic reports on recurring incidents, problems, and trends for higher-level analysis. 6.

Training and Guidance:

Provide users with basic training and guidance on company technology and best practices. 7.

Hardware and Software Deployment:

Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows PCs and iPads. Follow company guidelines for hardware and software installation and deployment 8.

Administrative Duties:

Assist with routine administrative tasks associated with maintaining IT operations. Tier One Help Desk Technicians typically act as the first point of contact, ensuring swift, efficient, and friendly resolution of everyday IT issues.
