Full Job Description Description:

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual for an entry-level help desk position supporting healthcare information systems. As a Healthcare Information Systems Support Analyst , you will provide first-line support for clinical and administrative applications including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) , Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) , Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) , and Practice Management (PM) systems. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in healthcare IT who is eager to learn, solve problems, and support end-users in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing issues with EMR, PACS, LIS, and PM systems. Troubleshoot and resolve basic application issues via phone, email, or remote support tools. Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions. Provide support for scheduling, billing, and administrative workflows in Practice Management systems. Support EMR users with documentation, order entry, and navigation issues. Help configure user roles and templates under supervision. Document support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system. Escalate complex issues to senior analysts or vendors as needed. Participate in training sessions and contribute to user guides and documentation. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to understand and support workflow needs

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong interest in healthcare IT and willingness to learn clinical systems. Basic understanding of EMR, PACS, LIS, or PM systems (coursework or internship experience is a plus). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Internship or prior experience in a healthcare or IT support setting. Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards. Exposure to healthcare IT protocols such as HL7, DICOM, FHIR, or similar standards. Any relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified, Cisco (CCNA), or equivalent.
