Information Technology Full Job Description Job Summary:

The IT Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, implementing cybersecurity protocols, supporting users, and ensuring the seamless operation of technology systems. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and experience with hardware, software, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems. Provide troubleshooting and technical support for IT issues and system outages. Manage and maintain company devices including iPhones, Apple laptops, and other electronic equipment. Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT systems, networks, and data. Develop and implement strategic IT plans to support organizational growth. Create and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups across all platforms. Utilize Microsoft SharePoint and Teams to optimize internal workflows and processes. Support disaster recovery planning and implementation. Manage user accounts, email systems, access permissions, and IT onboarding tasks. Assist with website programming and updates. Monitor and support the integration of artificial intelligence tools into company processes. Available to respond to IT issues during off-hours when needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in IT systems, network administration, or infrastructure support. Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and data protection. Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and related productivity tools. Ability to manage multiple IT projects independently. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must be able to obtain or currently hold an active Secret Clearance. Prior military or government experience is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to complete any job-specific certifications or security clearances required. Must pass a background check, drug screening, and any medical evaluations as necessary. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as job demands require. Ability to access and work within military or government installations.
