Job Description

Recertification Specialist Auditmacs Jacksonville, FL 32207 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient technician to manage the recertification of mobile devices and provide support for hardware-related tickets. This role ensures that all mobile devices meet company standards before redeployment and that hardware issues are resolved efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity across the organization. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic testing and functional checks on returned or decommissioned mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) Wipe data, update operating systems, and reconfigure devices for redeployment in accordance with company policies. Inspect and replace faulty hardware components as needed (batteries, screens, SIM cards, etc.) Work support tickets related to mobile and hardware issues through the company’s ticketing system. Collaborate with IT and end-users to resolve device-related problems efficiently. Track device inventory and update asset management systems accordingly. Ensure all recertified equipment complies with internal security, configuration, and usability standards. Package and prepare devices for distribution or shipment. Document procedures and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce error rates. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Mobile Device Repair, etc.) preferred. 1-3 years of experience in mobile device support, hardware troubleshooting, or IT help desk roles. Familiarity with Android, iOS, and MDM (Mobile Device Management) platforms. Working knowledge of ticketing systems and asset tracking tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical processes precisely. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift and handle hardware as required. Preferred Skills Experience with device imaging tools and enterprise provisioning systems. Basic knowledge of networking and system administration. Familiarity with logistics or shipping procedures.
