Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end-users within our organization. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote tools, or in person.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Support Microsoft Windows environments including configuration and maintenance.
Administer and troubleshoot user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software including Office 365, antivirus tools, and custom applications.
Set up and maintain user workstations, including OS imaging and hardware deployment.
Ensure timely resolution of tickets and maintain accurate documentation of issues and fixes.
Assist in managing IT assets and maintaining an up-to-date inventory.
Support audio/visual setups and conferencing tools.
Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support when needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, IT Technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Office 365, and general networking concepts.
Hands-on experience with hardware repair and peripheral configuration.
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
