The Desktop Support Technician is a staff position within the IT support group accountable for ensuring continuity ofputer system services forputer users by providing the technical expertise, assistance and project coordination necessary to installputer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. This position will be expected to collaborate onsite at MHK’s Tampa office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.

Responsibilities:

Ensure continuity of theputer system for all system users. Research software products and applicability to organizational environment. Install and update selected software and hardware products. Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service. Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology. Be on-call for all periods as assigned by manager. Provide technical assistance and advice to users both onsite and remote whenever needed. Rmend changes in software and hardware to improveputer capabilities. Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize MIS resources. Assist with facility and desktop setup onsite in the Tampa office. Participate in audits and ensurepliance with IT operational standards Facilities coordination involving light physical labor (setup, stacking, relocating equipment, supplies etc.) Education Associate Degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience working on hardware. 2 or more years of experience in desktop support. Relevant software certifications. Experience and Windows and Linux OS. Experienced administering JIRA or similar ticket system Experience with Jamf Pro, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools Knowledge of networking fundamentals and AV systems Ability to effectivelymunicate technical concepts to other technical staff members. Ability to interface well with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organization. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. Strongmunication skills (verbal and written). Experience and ability to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, deadline driven environment.
