This role is essential in providing technical support and troubleshooting for our users, ensuring that all desktop systems are functioning efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking principles, along with exceptional customer service skills. Responsibilities Provide first-level support for desktop-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring effective resolution of user problems. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications. Assist users with connectivity issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN configurations. Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ServiceNow ticketing system. Collaborate with other IT staff to escalate complex issues as needed. Conduct routine maintenance on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance. Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for using technology effectively. Qualifications Proficient in Windows operating systems; experience with Linux is a plus. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols. Experience with desktop support in a corporate environment. Solid knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
