Deskside Support Technician Sira Consulting Inc Miami, FL Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, ensuring that all computer systems, mobile devices, and network connections operate smoothly. This role requires a strong understanding of IT support principles, computer networking, and software troubleshooting. Duties Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows operating systems and applications. Assist users with network connectivity problems, including TCP/IP configurations and DNS settings. Maintain accurate records of support requests using Jira or similar ticketing systems. Collaborate with other IT team members to identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on computers and peripherals to ensure optimal performance. Educate users on best practices for software usage and security measures. Requirements Proven experience in IT support or a related field. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP and DNS. Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues across various applications, particularly within the Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with mobile device management and support. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical expertise.
