Job Description
End User Support Specialist Lee County Mosquito/Hyacinth Control Districts Homestead, FL JOB The End User Support Specialist is the first point of contact for resolving user issues, offering support via various channels like phone, email, and in-person interactions. This role is responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting to users of computer systems, software, and hardware to ensure seamless technology experiences.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responds promptly to end-user support requests via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely resolutionDiagnoses and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devicesInstalls, configures, and maintains Microsoft Windows systems, ensuring optimal performanceProvides expert support for Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams), and enterprise applicationsAssists with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and device configurationDocuments support procedures and contribute to a comprehensive knowledge baseCollaborates with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues efficientlyMaintains an accurate inventory of IT equipment and software licensesEnsures compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practicesTrains and guide users on new systems, software, and technologies to enhance productivityDocuments support requests, resolutions, and security incidentsAll other duties as assigned

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Requirements:
Moderate physical activity is required on a regular basis including lifting up to fifty pounds while moving computers and other equipment, reaching and pulling with arms, using hands and fingers to type, standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Excellent vision, both close and distance, is required frequently.
Work Environment:
The work environment varies but normally is an office, but could occasionally include laboratories, warehouses, workshops, airplane hangars and vehicles. Occasional local travel is required. Noise levels are usually low but occasional exposure to moderate noise levels may be required when around aircraft. Working around chemicals, which are stored, handled, applied/used and disposed of according to exact labeling instructions, is required occasionally.
