JOB OVERVIEW
The Technical Data Supervisor leads the Technical Records and Technical Publications teams, effectively overseeing documentation needed and produced during day-to-day MRO activities. This position manages the information requirements across FTAI Aviation USA departments and ensures documentation’s timely availability for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Lead the provisioning and acquisition of technical data from Original Equipment Manufacturers, aircraft/ engine manufacturers and product support. Responsible for the control of internal and external technical data, including validation of the currency of all technical publications, and auditing of internal records and procedures. Lead the Technical Records review to determine status regarding manufacturers maintenance requirements, Services Bulletins / Modifications, and Airworthiness Directives; and the creation of records packages for work performed at FTAI Aviation USA. Oversee Company’s internal procedures and work instructions, and lead their approval, release, training, and monitoring processes. Maintain a computer database of all controlled technical records, procedures, and publications with internal IT support. Lead Root Cause Analysis for nonconformances and corrective actions in the department. Lead and and improve the teams’ operations and processes. Conduct tasks as deemed necessary and valuable to the department or Company.
Qualifications:
5+ years of applicable MRO experience. 3+ years in a supervisor or leadership role. Experience in aviation technical records and/or technical publications is essential. Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate efficiently with all employee levels. Excellent computer skills. Understand, read, and speak English.
Preferred:
Quantum ERP Experience. Understand, read, and speak Spanish.
Job Demands:
Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
