Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an Advanced Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional technical support to our diverse client base. You will be responsible for resolving complex helpdesk tickets, providing advanced on-site troubleshooting, and assisting with the installation, maintenance, and removal of IT equipment. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Manage and resolve Helpdesk tickets in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex issues as necessary. Provide comprehensive technical support to clients via phone, email, and on-site visits. Perform advanced on-site troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Execute on-site installation and removal of various IT equipment, including workstations, servers, and network devices. Provide on-site hardware maintenance and support, including diagnostics and repairs. Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for common issues and procedures. Accurately create and complete work tickets, ensuring detailed notes and accurate time tracking. Set up new user accounts, including access permissions and software configurations. Configure and deploy new workstations, ensuring they meet client specifications. Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Continuously expand your technical knowledge and stay updated on industry best practices.
Requirements:
4-5 years of proven experience working in a field technician or helpdesk role within an IT environment. Demonstrable experience managing and supporting Microsoft 365 tenant environments. Proficiency in supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Proven strong documentation skills. Possession of a clean and valid driver’s license. Ability to lift and transport IT equipment, including workstations, servers, and network equipment, to client sites. A proactive attitude and a strong willingness to continuously learn and grow your technical skillset.
Highly Preferred:
CompTIA A+ Certification. Hands-on experience with network configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with IT security best practices and concepts. Microsoft 365/Azure Fundamentals Certification.
