Summary:
The IT Senior Network Engineer is critical in Enterprise Network’s daily operations. The Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to creating, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting the Enterprise Data, Voice, and Video Network Infrastructure. Senior Network Engineers must be detail-oriented and have in-depth networking hardware and software knowledge. The candidate should be highly experienced in network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructure, which are typical job requirements. This role requires having solid technical skills and interpersonal and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities:
Design, install, configure, monitor, maintain, test, and troubleshoot IT network infrastructure.
Provide high-level support and technical expertise for data, voice, and video networks.
Manage tasks and projects using ticketing systems.
Collaborate with team members, customers, clients, and other relevant teams.
Participate in projects and on-call rotation.
Engineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks, including administration, operations, maintenance, testing, and related activities.
Work with the IT Infrastructure Manager and IT Director to prioritize workload and identify future technology needs.
Assist with vendor quotes, proposal requests, procurement, and vendor selection.
Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure solutions, including hospitality-oriented systems.

Build, maintain, and audit network infrastructure documentation.
Evaluate new hardware, software, and communications products for compatibility.
Support, mentor, and provide cross-training to team members.

Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years in network engineering positions.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Cisco Data and Voice Network equipment (Nexus, Catalyst switches, Routers, IOS-XE Wireless Controllers, Cisco UCS, Voice Gateways).
Cisco Firewall Threat Detection (FTD), Meraki, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
Network Monitoring Systems (SolarWinds Orion, NETBrain).
IT Network Infrastructure Security principles, practices, procedures, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR regulations.
IT Network Software and Hardware, including packet capture analyzer software and handheld network testing tools.
IT Virtualization environments (VMware vSphere, VirtualBox, Hyper-V).
Structured cable systems (fiber and copper) and Network Infrastructure power standards.
Ticketing systems and IT project management.
TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Microsoft Network Policy (NPS) Services, RADIUS, TACACS, and SSL Certificates.
Advanced routing network protocols.
Experience in the hospitality and convention events industry (highly preferred).
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
Must obtain Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise within 14 months of employment by successfully completing Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise Core AND one of the following: Enterprise Wireless Design, Enterprise Design, Enterprise Wireless Implementation, Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, or Enterprise Network Assurance (required).
Must obtain Network Certification within 12 months of employment (required and must be maintained).
Note:
New hires or promoted Associates must obtain required certifications within a set time frame. Rosen Hotels & resorts will reimburse costs after six months of employment. Certifications must remain in good standing; failure to comply may result in salary adjustments.
