Communication skills Python PowerShell MySQL Full Job Description Technical Support Specialist – Performance (Hybrid – Orlando, FL) We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will find ways to remediate outages or enhance performance on the platform, utilizing tools like BigData, Splunk, and Grafana to map out metrics and identify trends on transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilization. You will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the Technical Support team, focusing on Performance and instance availability. This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40 hours per week, a hybrid role supporting our client’s office in Orlando, FL. This is a W2 employee role of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

Understand the client’s platform, cloud technologies, and troubleshooting practices to ensure the successful resolution of challenging technical situations. Respond to and troubleshoot customers’ technical issues. Customers will be system admins, not end-users of the SaaS platform. Review JavaScript and Java application code to point out and fix performance concerns. Work with customers and internal teams/experts on the resolution of customer issues

Requirements:

Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) Java experience- ability to read and understand object oriented design principles and memory management Experience in one (or more) scripting languages- JavaScript is preferred. Python or Perl-plus Basic Unix/Linux experience Experience diagnosing performance degradation (e.g. explain plans, database tuning) Strong teammate with high level of commitment and excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of Web Services, JDBC, ODBC Understanding of TCP/IP and Networking knowledge Experience with Splunk Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack.
