Desktop Support Technician 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Kissimmee, FL 34747 Desktop Support Technician – Onsite (Orlando, FL) Contract-to-Hire | Up to $28/hr | Full-Time | US Work Authorization Required Are you a skilled Desktop Support Technician ready to take on hands-on IT work in a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise environment? We’re hiring for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Orlando, FL , supporting onsite hardware refreshes, end-user support, and system imaging. This is a great role for someone who thrives on direct user interaction and enjoys working across a variety of support scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform onsite installations and upgrades for desktops, laptops, and peripheral hardware. Provide Level 1 and 2 desktop support for end users, resolving technical incidents in-person. Image, stage, and deploy new systems as part of large-scale refresh cycles. Sanitize and prepare returned hardware for re-use or inventory storage. Install and configure business-critical software including Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, VPN tools, and other standard applications. Manage tickets through ServiceNow or similar platforms; remote into systems to troubleshoot and apply fixes. Deliver remote post-deployment support, assisting users with configuration, software installs, network mapping, and troubleshooting. Transport and carry equipment safely between buildings or workstations.
Required Skills and Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in PC deployment, refreshes, and field support within enterprise environments. Strong technical expertise with Windows 7, Windows 10, and macOS operating systems. Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Exchange, and TCP/IP networking protocols. Experience supporting system migrations and imaging workflows at scale. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general software installation/configuration tasks. Comfortable using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and clear communication. Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet time-sensitive deadlines. High attention to detail with consistent documentation and process adherence.

Other Requirements:
