The Level 1 Help Desk Technician is the first point of contact for all technical support issues. This role is responsible for providing basic technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and network issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve entry-level technical problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Respond to incoming help desk requests via phone, email, or ticketing system. + Provide first-level technical support for Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and standard desktop applications. + Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. + Reset passwords and manage user accounts in Active Directory. + Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including setting up user accounts, email, and equipment. + Document all support activities, solutions, and communications in the ticketing system. + Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support or appropriate teams. + Follow up with users to ensure issue resolution and satisfaction. + Maintain and update support documentation as needed. + Assist with inventory management and device tracking as required.
Requirements Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred (CompTIA A+, ITIL, etc.). + 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk environment. + Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products. + Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and common productivity tools. + Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
