Role:
Applied Systems, Inc. (ASi) is seeking a reliable, tech-savvy Field & Remote Support Technician for a project-based role supporting a 6-month POS upgrade. ASi is a well-established and trusted managed IT service provider with over two decades of success in building long-term client relationships. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent IT services through a professional, problem-solving, and reliable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will require a 4-day work week: 2 nights and 2 days. Participating in onsite overnight POS upgrade projects (2 nights/week) Work weekend shifts (2 days/week) for scheduled support Deliver remote support for store computers, network devices, and POS terminals Provide on-site support when scheduled (vehicle stipend included) Maintain meticulous documentation of device inventory, configurations, and escalation procedures. Assist with technical needs, following defined support protocols. Coordinate with external vendors (ISPs, terminal support) to resolve service issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
Hands-on IT support experience, with a strong preference for retail or restaurant environments. Proficiency in Windows 10/11, network fundamentals, printer troubleshooting, and remote support tools. Proven experience supporting Point of Sale (POS) systems. Ability to work night and weekend shifts on a rotating or fixed schedule. Excellent communication and documentation skills Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle Must provide 3 references
