Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The individual in this position is responsible for helping to maintain the Hardware/Software used within the supported agencies. They will be the liaison between the user and the Information Technology Department. They will provide technical support to users in both hardware and software problems which includes hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, problem solving, and maintenance including network/phone support where applicable. When needed they will help/work with the EHR and network teams. Must have good people skills. This is a 90 day contract position with no benefits.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for agency PC/equipment tracking
Troubleshooting and technical support of computer hardware, software and peripheral devices for PCs and other IT Department equipment across all the agencies.
Installation of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Helps maintain laptop and workstation patching and AV levels.
Answers the Help Desk line and Responds to Help Desk Requests.
Travels to remote locations when necessary to resolve problems/install equipment.
Solves hardware/software problems and repairs or assesses the extent of the problem which may require outside support and/or travel.
Helps maintain current PC and Laptop images

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED equivalent required with demonstrated technical abilities or limited IT skills.
1 year of IT Technical Support.
Candidate for this position will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate MIS, CICS, or similar computer related program or is a graduate of one of these programs. (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of computer hardware and software. This knowledge must include a strong knowledge Windows 10/11 with a basic networking. Ability to solve computer problems with available technical hardware and skills. Ability to communicate effectively using speaking, hearing, and writing skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, staff, and external contacts. Knowledge of telecommunications (voice) and Networking a plus. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make the best possible solution. Ability work independently and in a team environment. Ability to properly document processes and inventory and keep them up to date.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS

Technical certification(s) is desirable (MCP, A+)

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS

Able to sit at a keyboard/desk for extended periods of time
Able to differentiate between colors for screen definition.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and finger, to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands or arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds.
Specific vision abilities as required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
