Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Level 2 MSP Technician with a strong background in helpdesk support, IT infrastructure, and project implementation. This role demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for client satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless IT operations and contributing to impactful technology projects. Helpdesk Support:
Provide advanced Level 2 technical support to resolve escalated issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across various environments. Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, and devices in environments like Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Infrastructure Management:
Deploy, monitor, and maintain server environments, including virtualized systems. Conduct regular network performance monitoring, updates, and proactive troubleshooting. Ensure the health and security of firewalls, routers, switches, and other critical infrastructure components.
Project Work:
Assist with IT project planning and execution, such as system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and network deployments. Coordinate with clients and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget. Create thorough project documentation and deliverables for ongoing client support.
Additional Responsibilities:
Document all work performed in the company’s ticketing and documentation systems. Maintain compliance with industry best practices for security, performance, and reliability. Participate in after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory, Azure. Experience with firewalls, routers, and switches (configuration and troubleshooting). Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Hands-on experience with IT project implementation, such as server migrations and network upgrades. Strong understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365, Azure, CCNA, VMware). Experience with RMM tools and PSA systems. Knowledge of VoIP systems and integrations.
