out of 5 stars 950 East Main Street, Lakeland, FL 33801 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our Lakeland team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer systems, and networks, and will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
Please Note:
This is not a remote position and would require working on Saturdays. Key Responsibilities Support, configure, maintain, and operate computer workstations, voice communication, and peripheral equipment. Support routers, firewalls, servers, switches, PCs, and wireless access points. Answer inbound communications from customers regarding issues with applications, printers, computers, peripherals, and networking hardware. Guide callers through troubleshooting common IT concerns and resolutions. Perform remote support for upgrades or issue resolutions. Conduct inventory duties for hardware and software items. Create quality documentation for significant activities, including required reports and how-to documents. Stay up to date on all technology supported by Boring. Instruct users in the proper utilization of software applications and hardware. Create and terminate user access accounts for appropriate IT systems. Track time and document progress through the ticketing system. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications & Experience Education :
HS Diploma / GED;
Some College Preferred Experience :
1 year preferred in Desktop /
Helpdesk Support Certifications :
A+ Certification; Network+ (desired)
Skills :
High attention to detail, excellent communication and organization skills, customer service oriented Physical / Mental /
Emotional Job Requirements Physical :
Sitting for long periods, walking, standing, lifting or pushing equipment (may exceed 45 lbs), hand/eye coordination, utilization of hands/fingers for typing and writing, ability to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and detect specific noises.
Mental :
Comprehension, organization, reasoning and decision making, communication, and mathematics.
Emotional :
Ability to manage a fast-paced environment with occasional stress.
