Job Description
System One is looking for a Control System technician in Lake Mary, FL, for a major power generation equipment and storage solutions provider. Our goal is to empower our customers to affordably and reliably combat climate change and advance human prosperity using our technologies. Our products include advanced class gas turbines, hydrogen gas turbines, lithium ion and flow battery technologies, digital solutions, and renewable energy project development. The Control System Technician is responsible for supporting engineering teams in the preparation, configuration and testing of Control Systems that meet code, contract and schedule requirements for Mitsubishi Power projects in the Americas. Additional responsibilities may include customer training and both remote and on-site support. The role primarily focuses on Control Systems related to large frame industrial gas turbines in simple cycle and/or combined cycle operation with the Steam Turbines. Scope may expand to other control systems within the plant at some future point.
- Design and review new design concepts and assisting in the developing of new control systems.
- Maintaining and modifying existing control systems.
- Collaborating with design engineers, executions engineers and other internal staff.
- Development of procedures for testing of the Control System based on its configuration.
- Configuration of Mitsubishi Control System including HMI and Database using procedures and techniques.
- Perform testing and Inspection of control systems including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
- Supporting Field Operations in performing on-site installation of Mitsubishi control systems. o Provide start-up commissioning, operations and/or troubleshooting support for equipment failures and determine root cause analysis and implement solutions. o Prepare procedures and submit accurate reports regarding conditions, required actions and obtained results.
- Overnight travel (at least 25%) by land and/or air.
- Perform other such duties as may be required such as packing equipment, staging equipment, organizing test equipment/ tools, etc.
