Experience anywhere from 3 years and up is good. Ifsomeone’s green, they need to be very, very sharp. PowerShell is useful, as is any actual programming/scriptingexperience. If someone’s resume reflects a C# class inundergraduate, that’s not what I mean. As far as certs go, CCNA, CCNP, Network+… in any case, they need tohave a greater than fundamental understanding of networks. The sameis true of desktops and operating systems. The role is really a jack of all trades. Any given day they may besetting up iPhones, connecting laptops to docs, troubleshootingnetwork issues, building software packages, and, as you guessed it,trying to automate things using tools like PowerShell, SCCM, andGPO.
