Full Time (Monday-Friday), On-Site About the Role We are a busy, well-respected, growing ENT practice seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Technology and Compliance Support Specialist . In this critical role, you’ll bridge daily IT support, HIPAA compliance, and software system management. The ideal candidate is an outstanding team player with strong technical skills, customer service excellence, and a passion for healthcare operations. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with prior experience supporting technology and who enjoys leadership responsibilities and solving problems in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Serve as the first point of contact for staff and provider IT issues (password resets, software/hardware troubleshooting, network connection support). Manage user access and permissions across systems. Support EHR (NextGen) and other practice management systems and third party software, including upgrades, template updates, troubleshooting, and user training. Oversee and lead all technology changes, including phone system for the practice. Act as liaison with our external IT services vendor for escalated issues. Compliance and Training Serve as the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory standards. Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing compliance training for employees. Lead and document compliance-related meetings, audits, and software updates. Support practice participation in CMS quality reporting and other healthcare compliance initiatives. Operations and System Integrity Collaborate with the Network Manager and Practice Administrator to maintain system security, disaster recovery plans, and operational readiness. Stay current with industry updates through webinars, publications, and meetings. Skills and Competencies Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage projects and prioritize tasks. High level of trustworthiness, integrity, and professional discretion. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite EHR/EMR systems (NextGen preferred) Basic troubleshooting for Windows-based systems and network connectivity. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT/software in a healthcare or medical practice setting. Experience with EHR/EMR platforms (NextGen experience preferred but not required). Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare quality programs is strongly preferred. High school diploma required; college coursework or certifications in IT, healthcare administration, or compliance preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
