Full Job Description Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Field Service Technician to support retail store technology infrastructure across locations in Savannah, GA . This role is responsible for hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of IT and retail hardware systems, ensuring seamless operations across all store functions including POS, networking, security, and back-office systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite and remote support for: Point of Sale (POS) systems Self-Checkout (SCO) devices Networking equipment (routers, switches, modems, Wi-Fi access points) Security systems (CCTV, alarms, anti-theft devices) Digital signage and content systems Payment processing equipment Customer service and CRM tools Back-office IT infrastructure (servers, workstations, backup systems) Provide IMAC Support (Install, Move, Add, Change) Perform hardware break/fix, reconfiguration, troubleshooting, and replacement Participate in project-based work such as: Power shutdowns Store openings/remodels Equipment Upgrades New Technology Installations Support incident investigation and resolution through hands-and-eyes support Perform scale certification and calibration for POS/SCO stations Conduct cable installations (including inside-wall routing) Operate scissor lift as needed for elevated work (Fuel Stations, Distribution Centers, Retail)

Required Tools & Equipment:

Smartphone with Hotspot capability Laptop with: Windows OS Reliable internet (via Wi-Fi or hotspot) Local admin access USB ports enabled Standard IT tool kit, including: Network console cable (USB to RJ45) Spare Ethernet patch cables (3ft-15ft) Cat5/Cat6 Cabling tools Ladder (capable of at least 8ft height or more) Standard Hand Tools Screw Drivers Cutters Punch Down Tool Cordless Drill Multi-Bit set including Security Bits Pre-Assignment Requirements (Subject to Local Laws): Criminal background check Drug screening (repeated if assignment gap >12 months) Screen includes: Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, Opiates (expanded), PCP. Marijuana is excluded in jurisdictions where legal.

Ticketing & Reporting:

All service tickets must be entered in the Supplier’s Customer Portal unless otherwise specified.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in IT field support or retail technology Strong understanding of network and POS system architecture Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and connectivity issues independently Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a customer-facing environment Must be able to lift equipment up to 75lbs Operate scissor lifts (Left Certification Required, Training provided if necessary) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
