This is a W2 contract opportunity, and it is NOT open to C2Cor 3rd party candidates The IT Field Service Engineer will provide day-to-day technicalsupport to employees for network infrastructure and internaldesktop systems, software, and hardware. They will install,configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers,and networks in a heterogeneous environment. They will maintainpasswords data integrity and file system security for the desktopenvironment, and will be expected to communicate highly technicalinformation to both technical and nontechnical personnel. They willrecommend hardware and software solutions, including newacquisitions and upgrades. They may participate in the developmentof information technology and infrastructure projects, and mayconduct training programs designed to educate computer users aboutbasic and specialized applications.

Job Duties:

Support day-to-day operations and provide customer support Install, configure, support, and maintain hardware and operatingsystem solutions Place hardware orders and provide general asset management Perform basic back-up tape operator duties Define and implement core system hardware and operating systemsolutions Define, in conjunction with Business Groups and IT EngineeringTeams, functionality required to support business strategies Create system documentation, testing, training, and post-deploymentassessments Communicate changes to client environment policy and projecttesting to the IT Team Maintain systems with current Windows PCs, OS, and softwarefirmware, patches, and upgrades Maintain standards of operations, such as inventory namingstandards and configurations Communicate system statuses and coordinate maintenanceactivities Monitor the environment for potential system issues and resolveappropriately Adhere to the change management processes for any plannedmaintenance or when potential issues are identified Provide IT training and orientation for new team members Ensure the operational health, security availability, performanceinteroperability, and reliability of Micron’s core computingresources Adhere to Micron’s established processes, policies, and operationallevel agreements, including Micron’s security policies for allmanaged services Provide basic conference room and AV support Identify service improvement opportunities and continually work toimprove operations Evaluate and test new software for compatibility with the computingenvironment Provide system security and access Partner with service providers and other IT teams to maintain useraccounts, login scripts, user profiles, group additions, andrenames Respond to automated notifications regarding noncompliance ofclient systems

Job Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on IT Support experience Experience with basic networking and troubleshooting Experience with HP and Dell desktop/laptop support Experience with the ServiceNow ticketing system Strong attention to detail and ability to follow establishedprocedures Reliability, punctuality, and personability in working in ITSupport environments Experience with Jira and/or Confluence preferred A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, or other relevant field
