Onsite System One is currently seeking a P&C Tech on a 3 year contractlocated in Atlanta, GA.

P&C Tech Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance andinspections of protection and control systems to ensure theirfunctionality and reliability. Conduct tests, calibrations, and functional checks on protectiverelays, circuit breakers, and other control devices to verify theirperformance. Diagnose and resolve issues and faults within protection andcontrol systems. Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Configure and program protective relays and control devices asneeded, ensuring they are set up to protect electrical equipmentand respond to faults appropriately. Participate in relay coordination studies to ensure that protectiverelays operate as intended during faults while minimizingunnecessary trips. Analyze data from protection systems to identify trends,abnormalities, and potential issues. Utilize advanced analysis tools and software. Assist in the planning and implementation of upgrades andmodernization projects for protection and control systems. Ensure that protection and control systems comply with safetystandards and regulations. Implement safety interlocks and emergency shutdown systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, testing, andtroubleshooting activities. Update and create technical documentation as needed. Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and operationalstaff to ensure the effective and efficient operation of electricalsystems.

Note:

Position requires candidate to be available for on-call 24/7(rotating schedule), paid overtime, and statewide travel. Candidatemust be available to travel on short notice for extended periods oftime including overnight stays, weekends, and holidays.

P&C Tech Requirements:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree inelectrical engineering or a related field is typicallypreferred. At least 1 year of experience in maintaining and testing electricalprotection and control systems, preferably in industries like powergeneration and distribution. Proficiency in using advanced testing equipment, including relaytest sets and oscilloscopes. Strong knowledge of protective relays, circuit breakers, andcontrol systems. Understanding of electrical safety practices and standards. Familiarity with relay coordination principles and softwaretools. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
