Desktop Support Technician Sira Consulting Inc Atlanta, GA Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring efficient operation of computer systems, and maintaining network infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional IT support. Duties Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms, including Windows and Linux. Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime for users. Assist in the administration of Windows Server environments, including user account management and system updates. Monitor and maintain network performance, including LAN configurations and DNS settings. Support mobile devices and ensure seamless connectivity for users on-the-go. Utilize Jira for tracking support tickets and managing workflow efficiently. Collaborate with team members to implement IT solutions that enhance productivity and user experience. Document solutions and maintain knowledge base articles for future reference. Skills Proficiency in software troubleshooting across various operating systems, particularly Windows and Linux. Strong understanding of network administration principles, including LAN setup and maintenance. Experience with computer networking concepts, ensuring effective communication between devices. Familiarity with DNS management and its impact on network functionality. Ability to provide IT support for mobile devices, ensuring users remain connected regardless of location. Knowledge of Jira for issue tracking and project management is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning in the IT field.
