Overview:
Service Specialists are primarilyresponsible for various service and support functions around theclock across multiple client accounts. This role typically involvesimplementation, maintenance, and enhancement of control systems toensure 24/7 facilities operations. A secondary responsibility is tosupport project teams designing and implementing customer buildingautomation projects.
Responsibilities:
Service and Support Performregular inspections, maintenance, and software updates of controlsystems Identify and address system malfunctions or inefficienciespromptly Implement system upgrades and enhancements to improveefficiency and performance Continuously monitor service and supportchannels, including phone lines, email, chat, and ticketing systemsTrack service metrics, performance indicators, and key performanceindicators (KPIs) to identify issues and trends Respond toincidents, outages, and service disruptions promptly Manage shiftschedules and workload distribution to meet service demands andeffectively ensure 24/7 coverage Act as a point of contact forescalated issues and complex customer inquiries Collaborate withtechnical teams to resolve critical incidents quickly andefficiently Develop incident response protocols and ensure they arefollowed Instrumentation & Electrical Design Create instrumentlists by examining P&ID drawings Compile submittal andprocurement documentation for controls and instrument hardwareProvide technical support for panel fabrication technicians Inspectcompleted control enclosures System Design and ConfigurationParticipate in customer design review meetings Assemble developmentsystem using project hardware and computers Configure userinterface and HMI screens Configure DDC, PLC and/or DCS controlalgorithms Draft system documentation from templates Assist iscustomer demonstrations and acceptance testing Configure networksto interface with equipment. Onsite System Startup Works in asupervised role and/or with a team at a customer site Installproject software and configuration onto site systems Participate inpoint-to-point loop checks Perform instrumentation and softwarecalibration and tuning Participate in functional tests of allsystems Troubleshoot installation discrepancies Program fieldmodifications as required Assist with developing commissioning testplans and documentation updates/redlines Assist with developingtraining documentation/presentation on operations and maintenanceof system Working Conditions Requires on-call rotation to addresscritical system issues outside regular working hours. Duringon-call rotation assignment, will need to be available 24/7. Out ofon-call rotation required to work from Monday to Thursday regularworking hours the week after an on-call rotation week. Theremaining weeks of the month will work from Monday to Fridayregular working hours. The role requires travel to differentfacilities for installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Mayinclude working in shifts, including nights, weekends, andholidays.
Qualifications:
Proven track record as a ServiceSpecialist and experience in service and support operations in a24/7 environment. Associate’s Degree in approved mechanical orelectrical program, or proper background as determined by interviewTechnical Experience (One or more of the following technologies)

Niagara N4
Distech:
Experience withBACnet and LON Distech controllers,
Eclypse Controllers JohnsonControls:
Facility Explorer or Metasys controllers
Siemens:
Experienced with Apogee (PXC), Talon Controllers, DXR controllers,
Desigo CC or Insight Rockwell:
FactoryTalk Suite, RS Logix/Studio5000, familiarity with PlantPAx DCS Other useful technologiesinclude:
Scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc.) Knowledge ofKepware OPC server, ThinManager, VMware is preferred.
HVACExperience Preferred:
Basic understanding of HVAC systems in largebuilding automation systems. Understanding of sequence ofoperations and P&IDs for HVAC and plant utilities. Experiencewith functional testing, including the ability to create, maintain,and execute test plans.
