Student Information-Technology Summary Responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the student information data systems at the District level with an emphasis on application systems and reporting Essential Duties Provides the highest level of technical support for both District and school-based Student Information System users Gathers business requirements and analyzes end user needs for application enhancements or changes Documents in department SOP all application configuration or data changes implemented Reviews, analyzes, and recommends new configurations and enhanced systems Implements, operates, and maintains student data systems applications Supports data reporting to all levels of Fulton County School System’s administration, state, and federal agencies for FTE, Student Record, CPI (Classified/Certified Personnel Information Report), Civil Rights, AYP, NCLB, and other requirements as appropriate Provides implementation, support, and services for student data collection, required reporting, and data analysis Protects integrity of information for accurate statistical and informational data Maintains development environment with data configuration and application changes Assists with New Year rollover procedures and application releases at the District and school levels Maintains the archival of all student reports and reporting documentation as assigned Maintains required security measures on all systems Takes on and manages projects from start to finish Maintains current knowledge of the latest technology in computer applications, i.e., hardware and software developments Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator Required Education Associate’s Degree in a related field or In lieu of degree, will consider 2 years of related technology experience per year of college (4 years) Certification/Licensure None required Experience Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting cloud-hosted applications required; Experience in a support role for K-12 Student Information Systems preferred; Experience using Microsoft SQL preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Familiarity with State and local Board rules and regulations Working knowledge of current versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Conceptual thinking, design, implementation, and troubleshooting of database and application technology Demonstrated experience in training to internal and external stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Working Conditions Normal office environment Physical Demands Routine physical activity associated with normal office environment
