Full-time Location:
Warner Robins, GA Veterans First Initiative, LLC (VFI) is a U.S. Government Contractor and IT Services Integrator that delivers Network, Unified Communications, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity Engineering and Infrastructure Solutions on a global scale. VFI is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). VFI seeks an experienced, professional IT Equipment Control Specialist 2 to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services Operation at Robins Air Force Base, Warner-Robins, Georgia.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receives, stores, tracks, and distributes IT equipment and end user devices. Maintains a real-time inventory of IT equipment in the computer-based inventory system to maintain current and accurate IT asset records. Performs physical inventory of IT equipment. Trains other team members, customers, and stakeholders on inventory and equipment control functions. Prepares and submits weekly reports to management regarding inventory status. Monitors progress of others on inventory actions. Provides logistics and shipping support, prepares items for delivery to final destination. Ensures supply chain integrity and secure physical custody of IT assets. Maintains a customer service area for parcel delivery, pick-up, and outgoing shipments via commercial carriers.
Recommendations:
At least 2 years of experience managing IT assets for a corporate or governmental organization. Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems. Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little direct supervision. Attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to work well with others.
Requirements:
Must achieve and maintain a forklift certification. Must complete and pass the required Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) Training Courses within thirty (30) calendar days of initial start date.
