Desktop Support Sira Consulting Inc Dublin, GA Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring that all computer systems and networks operate efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and IT infrastructure to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues related to TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall configurations. Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure components. Utilize Remedy or similar ticketing systems to track support requests and document solutions. Perform routine maintenance on computer systems, including updates and patches for Windows operating systems. Collaborate with other IT staff to improve processes and enhance the overall user experience. Educate users on best practices for computer usage and security measures. Skills Proficient in computer networking principles and practices. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components and their functionalities. Experience with Remedy or similar IT service management tools is preferred. Familiarity with firewall configurations and security protocols. Solid understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Proficient in Windows operating systems (desktop versions). Strong IT support skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Technical support experience in a corporate environment is advantageous. Knowledge of VPN configurations and management. Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting.
