Job Summary
Support various department programs developed andor implemented and supported by four different training, equipment, and education grants within the Department of Family Medicine. These specialized programs and equipment support department centric activities and include programs which are not utilized by disciplines across the institution.
Support the academic, clinic, research, and administrative efforts of Family Medicine by providing immediate onsite support in order to mitigate any negative impact on education, patient care, revenue, or productivity which would directly result from the loss of equipment or software functionality or services. Maintain a high degree of familiarity with Department and Clinic business processes, clinical workflows, and classroom technology needs. Provide training and education to faculty, residents, students, and staff on the use of equipment and software used in patient care, education, research, and administration. Serves as Department liaison to institutional IT on variousmittees, as well as to vendors and manufacturers for troubleshooting and support.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to
Secondary Support to the IT Project Coordinator
Departmental, and maintains familiarity with departmental and clinical operations in order to support the operational and technology needs of each area of the department. Key to both clinical operations and facultyresident productivity monitoring is a thorough knowledge of the Qgenda scheduling application. Further support of clinic scheduling includes working with Epic. Produces reports for leadership and management using Excel and other applications as required. Collaborates with management and internal teams to evaluate and implement improvements to faculty and resident scheduling to ensure educational and clinicalmitments are met.
Departmental Business Office Support
Works with Department accounting and bookkeeping to develop, maintain, and produce reports from a DBMS (Filemaker Pro) accounting system for tracking expenditures across all department budgets. Responsible for managing the data contained within the DBMS.
Other Support
Act as primary support for other resources including tracking resident duty hours; liaison to campus web site developers in assisting faculty with web page updates and creation. Act as secondary support for Department legacy inhouse applications and IT projects.
Inventory Management Assist with the management and tracking of the Department equipment inventory. Assist with management of laptopputers for temporary loan out to faculty, residents, students, and staff as well as for adhoc classroom deployment. Assists with the specification of new equipment based on grant requirements and budgetary constraints.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in IT or related field, along with three years of experience in a relevant field of work, including two years ofbined experience working with local area networking, personalputers, client server systems, webbased applications, and project managementsystem design tools.
