Position Summary
The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial institution’s IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role will support enterprise systems, ensure network stability, enhance security, and provide critical IT services to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Cloud & On-Prem Infrastructure:

Deploy, configure, and manage AWS / Azure cloud services, ensuring performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Support migration of on-premises systems to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal configuration for security, cost management, and performance.
Establish and manage cloud networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways, VNets, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect) to ensure secure connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.
Administer on-prem hyper-converged infrastructure including virtual machine provisioning and maintenance and ensure data integrity.
Oversee backup operations, ensuring backup consistency and disaster recovery readiness.
Support and optimize Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

Networking, Systems, & Security:

Maintain and troubleshoot networking equipment (switches, access points, controllers).
Manage and configure network services such as DNS (Internal and External), DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, switches and firewalls.
Administer Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy for user and system access management and Intune.
Collaborate on security initiatives, including patch management, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance efforts.
Work with security teams to implement cybersecurity best practices.

Automation & Process Improvement:

Participate in development and support of automation using MS Power Platform (BI, Automate, Apps)
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or Python to streamline repetitive tasks.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for cloud and on-prem deployments.
Support automation of system monitoring, alerts, and reporting to enhance visibility and proactive issue resolution.
Create self-service IT automation workflows to improve end-user experience and reduce manual intervention.
Implement automated configuration management and compliance enforcement for servers, storage, and networking.

Endpoint & User Support:

Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated IT infrastructure issues.

Operational & Strategic Contributions:

Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement improvements.
Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers on infrastructure projects and support.
Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.
Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or a similar role.
Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments. Familiarity with Linux.
Hands-on Experience with storage solutions and backup solutions.
Expertise in either PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for automation.
Basic cybersecurity knowledge, including patching, endpoint protection, and compliance standards.
Familiarity with UniFi networking, including controller-based management.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
IT certifications such as

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, ITIL Foundations (V4), CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA are preferred.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other First Guaranty Bank policies.
This will be an onsite role with some opportunities for work from home (hybrid).
This role may require occasional travel to branch locations.
Desired Qualifications Expert IT Knowledge (Cloud/Network/Systems/Storage/Scripting)
Banking or other financial industry-related experience.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or SCCM.
