Job Description

Tier II IT Support Technician 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Danvers, MA 01923 Insight Service Group, “ISG”, is looking for a Tier II experienced IT Support Technician to provide their technical expertise and assistance with supporting the employees of a growing company. This position is focused primarily on machine builds, but also as deskside support for our Danvers office. This includes addressing technical issues, offering advice to solve them and assist with various technical support projects and onboarding/offboarding activities. The Tier II – IT Support Technician must be customer oriented, have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and correct it.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Purchase, track, configure and ship equipment for new hires, equipment replacements and additional equipment/peripherals as needed through our Zendesk support queue Provide local and remote basic to advanced hardware and software troubleshooting support Work in conjunction with systems administrators and the software development team Support inventory and asset management process. Participate in the afterhours support rotation Follow incidents through to resolution using knowledge-base and expertise to solve issues Provide regular updates to end-users on their support requests Installing or changing software to fix issues Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by end-users/employees Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel in a timely manner Provide accurate information on IT products or services Record events and problems and their resolution in the ticket Follow-up and update customer status and information Pass on any feedback or suggestions by end-users/employees to the appropriate internal team Identify and suggest possible improvements

Requirements:

Proven experience as an IT support technician or other technical support professional Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft O365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Support, and standard office automation processes, printer services and tools, etc. Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products Experience with printers, specifically Canon is preferred, but not required Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues Excellent communication & organizational skills Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team of IT professionals to support the goals of the department. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related program or Equivalent Experience. Available to work on a rotating off hours shift

Pay is based on experience
