Bilingual IT Specialist (Entry Level) Position Available In Hampden, Massachusetts

Working closely with the Director of Information Technology, theBilingual IT Specialist is the first point of contact for the Access toRecovery (ATR) class participants and staff, as well as for MassHireHolyoke customers in general. The Bilingual IT Specialist supports thetraining, data, and other technical needs of MassHire Holyoke programs,grants, and staff, as needed, and assists with research, contactingvendors, reviewing quotes, and preparing summary reports recommendingthe best devices or services needed to support ATR and other programs.

The Bilingual IT Specialist (Entry Level) Provides day-to-dayoperational support onsite and remotely for: Chromebooks, mobile hotspots, laptops, desktops, and androids; Hardware peripherals such asprinters, monitors, headphones, webcams; Google Suite, Microsoft Office365 including Teams, OneDrive and others; Installs new hardware and upto date software in chromebooks, computers and laptops; Zoom and similarplatforms. The job includes supporting the ATR (Access to Recovery) teamin Spanish and English with the following activities: Providing helpdesk service during the ATR work readiness classes, on-site andremotely. Addresses ATR student technical issues and concerns in aprofessional and compassionate manner; ATR inventory control, whichincludes Chromebooks, mobile hot spots, chargers, mice, mouse pads,backpacks, and others; Provides updates, status reports, and informationon a timely basis; Creates monthly reports for supervisor and makepurchases as needed. Maintain a list of devices provided to each studentper class; Troubleshoot issues with Chromebooks and mobile hot spots forprogram participants and other general duties as required.

Requirements:

Bilingual in English and Spanish. One year of hands-on experienceworking in an end-user desktop support role. Proficient in Chromebook,laptop, computer and peripheral device troubleshooting and repairs.

Proficient knowledge in Windows 11, Chrome and MAC OS. Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications, and Google Workspace. Antivirus andeliminating viruses in desktops and Laptops. Configuration of newdesktop computers, laptops, printers, etc.

IT reporting:

includingdetailed technical and project status reports. Learn new technologiesand apply them effectively. Follow written and oral procedures. Willingto ask questions and seek support when needed. Handle multiple workloadsin a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to set prioritiesand manage workload to maximize productivity and complete assigned tasksin a timely manner. Recognize when and how to prioritize servicedelivery issues when needed. Actively supports through task andattitude, the priority MassHire Holyoke places on exceptional customerservice.
