Job Description

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hardware, software, cloud applications, and networks. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud-based systems and providing top-notch support to our end-users.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and Maintain Cloud-Based Systems:

Ensure optimal performance and security of cloud-based systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud applications, virtual desktops, and network connectivity.

End-User Support:

Provide support for hardware and software issues, including installation, configuration, and upgrades of operating systems and applications.

Assist end-users with technical issues and provide timely resolutions.

Cloud Environment Management:

Manage cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365), including provisioning, access control, and performance tuning.

Implement and manage data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.

Network Management:

Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network load balancing technologies.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and data protection standards.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
Hardware:

Familiarity with desktops, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices from vendors like Dell, HP, and Cisco.

Software:

Experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, and backup solutions like VERITAS.

Cloud Applications:

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, cloud-hosted collaboration tools, and enterprise SaaS platforms.

Networking:

Understanding of LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network load balancing technologies.

Security:

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, encryption standards (e.g., AES-256), and compliance with DoD or FedRAMP guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience, focusing on cloud environments.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+,

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
